  • Couple

Excellent staff, always smily and helpfull. They prepered us breakfast box for our early morning visit to Angkor Wat. The massages were excellent by specialists. The food near the pool was beautiful. Great value for money. Highly reccomented

The location is not very close to the town, but the touk-touk is very cheap (1 usd)

  • Older travelers

    Friendly staff and nature environment.

5 nights booking but 2 nights stayed because main road of hotel will became a muddy and watery path after raining, moreover, our room was lighted up, door had been opened and master key still in keyhole when we came back to hotel at 2nd night.

  • Single

Petit Villa is one of the best hotels I have stayed in and I travel often. It was small, personal and beautiful. Very clean and the staff were amazing. I highly recommend to anyone travelling to Siem Reap!

  • Couple

This is a small boutique hotel, and we loved the personalised service and friendly staff. Staff were always happy to help and booked tours and tuk-tuks. Walking in off the street, the gardens are beautiful and there is a great pool in front of the villas. The rooms are well equipped, and the breakfast good. It represents good value for money and gives a better taste of Cambodia than being in a big chain hotel. Only a 10 minute walk into town.

The street outside was muddy, while we were staying, which we found charming, but others might be put off by. There were a few quirks with the toilets, which can be expected in a country like Cambodia.

  • Older travelers

A fantastic experience from start to finish, the staff were totally committed to making our stay as pleasant as possible, nothing was too much trouble. Transport was always available for trips out either by tuk tuk for local trips or car and driver for trips further afield. The pool was a major asset and influence to our booking there as were the spa facilities which we enjoyed during our stay, in fact we liked the hotel so much we stayed an extra night. We'll certainly stay again in the future and would recommend this hotel without any reservations.

  • Couple

Don't let the dusty road fool you, this was by far the best hotel we've stayed in se asia. 5 star hotel hidden in the middle of cambodia. The Staff was 6 star, and they would do things like turn on the pool lights at 11pm just for us or wake up at 4.30am so we could see the sunrise at Angkor!Thank you all (esp the girl in the reception whose Khmer name is dificult to remember) for making our stay in sr unforgettable! If I had paid 150 dolars a night I would still think it would be worth it!

Absolutely flawless! It's not that is a problem, but it's a 1 dollar tuk tuk drive from the centre or 10 min walk

  • Group of friends

Nice staff Beautiful night sky full of stars( No light pollution in Petit hotel area)

The way to main street was dirt a bit inconvenience for walking tourist.

  • Couple

Newly built hotel, cosy, nice swimming pool and spacious rooms. Staff does its very best, fresh flowers in your room.

Although brand new, several major building mistakes. Shower comes over toilet, so entire (quite spacious)bathroom is soaked after having a shower. Minimal ventilation in bathroom. No glass in windows, so you have the choice between darkness/artificial light and mosquitos entering. Very limited knowledge of English of both staff and direction...

  • Older travelers

Gorgeous little oasis of tranquility, seven rooms with little terraces clustered in a garden around a perfect size pool. Lovely staff, more than polite or efficient, absolutely charming. Super chef speaks great English and can discuss and vary dishes, you will not be disappointed dining 'at home'. As others noted it's just out of town, down a scruffy road, but don't care about that, the road is 'a means to an end' and it's a worthwhile end. Our tip: some walked, some cycled, the town is close enough, but the walk isn't anything special and we hired a tuk tuk for the complete duration of our stay. No haggling or negotiating, there in the morning, takes you to all the temples, into town, back for a nap, out for dinner, home to bed, so convenient. Also seems to reduce the (not as hassling as four years ago, so it seems) attention of hawkers at temples and on the streets. We hired through the hotel which costs a couple of bucks more than you may get if you haggle, but they have the drivers details, share responsibility in case of a problem, he'll never 'not know' where the hotel is, and you get a chiller box of ice water and towels when you go to visit the temples. For service from when you get up to when you fall asleep it's a cheap, convenient , 'peace of mind' option. And our driver was also charming and friendly and spoke good English. All in all, We left la Petit Villa with a great feeling of affection, (and a few hugs)!

Not a complaint, rather an observation, the bathrooms are 'wet rooms'. Seems like quite a nice 'designer' idea, (and some love them), but they 'do what they say on the can' I.E. the floor and fixtures get wet when you shower, so if you want to go to the loo after someone showered expect the floor and the loo seat to be wet (though the entry/basin area remained dry). Here it's warm, they dry quite fast, we lived in shorts and bare feet, so it was not an issue for us, but we're trying to be comprehensive with the review....

  • Couple

    Food was ok

The hotel was fully booked, so they have to change the spa room in to a sleeping room and they don't have the spa treatments on site, so, for me was a disapointement. sometimes due to the busy hours, the electicity power off, so ... air conditioning needs electicity on.

  • Group of friends

The staff are the true stars of the hotel, very friendly and accommodating. Rooms are spacious and the bathroom modern with a wow factor. We wanted a hotel with character and personalised service, and they have it here by the bucketload. The whole ambiance here is lovely and we would highly recommend this place. We also had a massage at the hotel and did the cooking class which was a lot of fun!

The road leading up to the hotel is quite muddy with potholes. We didn't mind it, and in fact were informed that a tarred road will be built very soon.

  • Couple

Petit Villa is a fabulous place to stay in Siem Reap. It is a family run hotel and you really feel that in the care they take to make sure every guest has a truly enjoyable stay with them. Nothing is too much trouble. The staff are super friendly and genuinely helpful - speak excellent English The hotel arranges tours for you at the same price you would pay in town/directly with the tour operators. Hotel Spa prices are very reasonsable. The room was clean, great bathroom, comfy bed. The breakfast was lovely! Stay here, you won't be disappointed.

Whilst we were staying at the Petit Villa the area nearby was flooded. The staff and owner made sure we got into town and back without problems - even picking us up late at night! There is a new road being built which will help for guests staying here in the future.

  • Couple

We liked almost everything. The rooms are cosy, spacious, quiet and very well-designed. The restaurant provides excellent breakfast, lunch and dinner options (both Western and Khmer). But the best thing of all is was the personalized service, which doesn't get much better than this. All told, the high ratings of the other reviewers are richly deserved.

It was unfortunate that Siem Reap was recovering from the worst floods in the past ten years, during our stay at the hotel. As a result, the road from the city center to the hotel was flooded. On the positive side, the management organized transport (free of charge) from the hotel to the city center.

  • Group of friends

The staff were excellent! What they lack in efforts towards luxury they try hard to make up for in excellent service. A very authentic Cambodian experience.

This property is very difficult to find, even for local taxi and tuk tuks. Quality really suffered for facilities. Food variety. Not fantastic. They have a long way to go, but the service and staff could not be faulted.

  • Couple

The room was large with a very comfortable bed. Breakfast was really good too with various options (omelettes, noodles, etc) and the staff at the hotel were very helpful and friendly. I can't think of anything I didn't like about it, I'd highly recommend it.
